Life and Times of a Skeed – Issue 5 – New Year Special

Well, I’ll be. It’s the end of 2009 already. Almost. Sort of. It has now been a decade since 2000 (obviously) and so I shall do a special New Years 2009 News Letter, because after 2006 at least, a lot has happened.

Well, I think I’ll skip to 2006 actually because up to then it’s a boring story of Sleep, School, Games, rinse and repeat. However, in 2006 my world, as well as that of the rest of my family, was rocked, twice. Maybe three times.

First and foremost it was the year my Grampy died. It came as quite a surprise too. I got woken up in the middle of the night and everything. He is dearly missed but I shall always remember him. Kind, loving… even if a little strict at times. Mostly a jolly old man. :)

Before that though my parents divorced, under what I’d call favourable circumstances and then along with that Me Mum and my two sisters moved six miles from here (my home-town) to another, altogether worse, town. That was September 2006. Sometime in early 2007 I also got baptised. Hurrah.

At first, for me, it wasn’t too bad because, well, I had no social life. However, as 2007 rolled on that changed, at least a little. Thankfully in 2008 we moved back to “the ‘nam”. Not the best of houses, but it’s better than living in calne. Then, after moving back to here in May I then moved, me only, to Essex for just about 1 year. This was to join Viz-a-Viz ministries as a Volunteer Sound and Lighting Technician. Which was great fun. I’ve made lots of friends and just generally met a lot of people. And I learnt a lot about live sound and lighting. And so in September 2009 I officially started Uni D:

Which means, I’m like, a student. Again. This christmas I got three or four assignments to do. ._. And a book. And some chocolate. And a leetle monies.

So, since my last newletter it’s been alot of Matrix, Beta, Church and even more Uni than anything else. I’m studying a Foundation Degree in Computing by the way. Just in case you’re interested :p

So, yeah. It’s been an interesting decade to say the least. And now, on into the teens!
